Headmaster apologises for making 9-year-old girl do sit-ups

A nine-year-old girl at a private nursery schol, 60 km from here, was asked to do 17 sit-ups by the Headmaster for not bringing the school diary, Revenue officials today said.
The incident happened yesterday.
Parents of the girl today questioned the school headmaster Senthilkumar who apologised and touched their feet seeking pardon, officials said.
Revenue officials enquired about the incident and said the Tahsildar and District Education Officer have been informed.
Action will be taken against the Headmaster, they said.
