Truck driver arrested with 3 kgs charas in Samba

A truck driver was today arrested and three kilograms of charas was recovered from him in Samba district, police said.
The truck, on its way from Kashmir to Punjab, was intercepted at Mansar in Samba district and three kilograms of charas was recovered during search, a police officer said.
The accused identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Rather is a resident of Bijbehara tehsil of Anantnag district, he said.
During preliminary questioning, the accused said that the consignment was to be delivered from Kashmir to Punjab, he said.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on, police said.
