Heavy rains in south Chhatisgarh

Due to the cyclonic low pressure areas in north-west Bay of Bengal, there is heavy rainfall in south-west areas of Bastar, MeT officials said today.
On the basis of the information received from local meteorological department, low pressure area is maintained between south Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh due to which south Chhattisgarh is receiving heavy rains.
Due to the heavy rains in Bastar district last night, Cherla, Mistur and Mingachal rivers were flooded.
According to the weatherman, medium to heavy rains are expected in the district tomorrow.
