The company would offer the items at discounted rates at 30 supermarkets in Chennai, it said in a statement.
One kg tomato priced at Rs 80-100 in the open market would be retailed at Rs 57. Similarly, onions being sold Rs 60 could be purchased at Rs 49 per kg, it said.
While potato would be sold at Rs 29 per kg, ridge gourd at Rs 25 per kg against Rs 45 kg, the statement said adding milk that can be stored for 45 days will be sold at Rs 38 per litre against Rs 46.
The products would be available across its retail outlets in Chennai and outskirts of the city over the next one week, he said.
The state government has already announced 50 additional fair price vegetable outlets in the city to provide fruits and vegetables at concessional rates.
