High humidity causes discomfort to Delhiites

High humid conditions prevailed in the national capital today, making life tough for Delhiites even as the mercury settled below the normal level.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 36.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below the normal, while the minimum settled at 28.5 degrees Celsius, a notch above the normal for this time of the year, said a MeT department official.
The Safdarjung observatory, figure of which is considered the official reading for the city, recorded traces of rainfall till 8.30 AM and 5.30 PM while the Lodhi Road observatory recorded 1.1 mm rainfall during the same period.
The humidity level oscillated between 87 and 56 per cent.
The MeT department has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow.
"The skies will be partly cloudy. Haze is likely to occur towards morning and evening. Maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to settle around 38 and 27 degrees Celsius," the weatherman said.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36.5 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature settled at 27.9 degrees Celsius.
