The Energy department would provide 50 per cent subsidy to industry for energy audit, subject to maximum of Rs 50,000, Directorate of Energy official H K Wadhwa said at a conference.
"Government has been encouraging the industry to adopt energy efficient systems and processes," he said at the one day training programme on Energy Conservation Techniques, organised by CII.
The day-long workshop witnessed presentations on energy conservation techniques and various case studies from world class organisations.
More than 30 participants from industries across Kala Amb and Paonta Sahib area participated in the programme.
