Sasikumar was killed by a motorcycle-borne four-member gang on the night of September 22, when he was going home, triggering a communal flare-up the next day during the funeral procession.
Protesting the delay in nabbing the culprits, about 500 Hindu Munnani workers staged a demonstration in the city today and condemned the 'tardy progress' of the case.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the protest, Munnani's Tamil Nadu president Kadeswara Subramania said since CB-CID, the investigating agency, had failed to achieve any breakthrough,it was high time the case was transferred to CBI.
