"The Punjab government miserably failed to arrest those behind over seven incidents of sacrilege in the state," said All India Sikh Students Federation president Karnail Singh and preacher Baljit Singh Daduwal.
Guru Granth-Guru Panth Azaad March will commence from Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib at Chandni Chowk and culminate at the Red Fort, Delhi, on November 1, they said.
At the Red Fort, Sikh religious leaders, scholars, survivors of the 1984 riots and human rights activists will address the gathering. The march coincides with the 31st anniversary of the anti-Sikh riots, they said.
Punjab Police has arrested six persons, including prime accused Rupinder Singh and Jaswinder Singh of Faridkot's Panjgrain Khurd village in connection with the incidents.
