Hooch tragedy: Youth attempts self-immolation outside CM's

A youth today attempted to immolate himself in front of the Chief Minister's office compound demanding dismissal of the state government, in the wake of the death of 38 persons in hooch tragedy.
The youth was demanding dismissal of Samajwadi Party government.
Agitated with death of 38 persons after consuming spurious liquor in Lucknow and Unnao, Pradeep Kumar poured kerosene oil and attempted to immolate himself in front of gate number one of annexxe, a police spokesman said.
However, security personnel prevented Pradeep and detained him, he said.
The spokesman said that the youth, who claims to be the president of youth wing of Bahujan Kranti Party, said that he considered the state government responsible for the hooch tragedy and attempted immolation to press for its dismissal.

He said that a case of immolation attempt has been lodged against Pradeep and further action was being taken.
