"The present BJP government in Haryana is working like a trader and ignoring the plight of farmers and industrialists in the state," Hooda, a two times chief minister, said.
Asserting that his government had set up four thermal plants in the state, Hooda said the present dispensation is "selling" the power generated by these plants to other states.
"The BJP government is working like traders," he said, adding, industries were leaving the state due to power shortage.
He rued that farmers were facing problems as 1509 variety of paddy was not being procured in the state.
"The 1509 variety of paddy was procured at a rate of Rs 4000 per quintal during the previous Congress regime while now farmers are being looted by the government as this variety is purchased at Rs 1200 per quintal only," he said.
"The life of farmers has become miserable in the state due to power hike as they are not in a condition to pay their inflated electricity bills," he said.
