Hope PM would fulfil promises made to AP: Pawan Kalyan

Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan, who supported the TDP-BJP combine in the elections last year, today said he was hopeful that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would fulfil promises made to Andhra Pradesh.
"I hope Prime Minister Narendra Modi would fulfil his promises made to the state of Andhra Pradesh at the foundation-laying ceremony of its capital. We have to give some time to the PM to fulfil his promises," Kalyan said.
"Otherwise, the BJP may face the Bihar situation in Andhra Pradesh, in future," the actor-turned-politician said.
He met Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu at his camp office here today for over two hours.

After the meeting, Pawan told reporters that he met Naidu to wish him on the occasion of Diwali and also to apologise for not attending the foundation-laying ceremony of the state's new capital city Amaravati held recently.
He said the Chief Minister has promised that land for the new capital would be acquired only with the consent of the farmers and that he does not want to go ahead against the wishes of tribals on bauxite mining in Visakhapatnam district.

"I appealed to the Chief Minister not to put farmers into trouble in the capital region and also the tribals in Visakhapatnam district," Pawan said.

On his party's future, he said, "I do not have funds to run the political party (for the next elections)."
Pawan Kalyan, younger brother of Telugu superstar and former Union Minister Chiranjeevi, had announced the formation of Janasena ahead of last year's general elections.
His vigorous campaign in support of TDP-BJP combine in the elections is believed to be one of the major reasons for its success at the hustings.
A top-ranking Telugu hero himself, Pawan has a huge following in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
