Hot weather conditions prevail; Churu hottest at 40.9 deg C in Raj

Churu was the hottest place in Rajasthan today with a maximum temperature of 40.9 degrees Celsius with hot weather conditions prevailing in the state, a MeT official said.

The Meteorological (MeT) department has forecast thunderstorm with light rains likely at isolated places in the state.

Jaisalmer, Kota, Jaipur, Barmer, Bikaner recorded 40.5, 39.8, 39.7, 39.6, 39.5 degrees Celsius while Jodhpur and Ajmer recorded 38 degree Celsius each.

The minimum temperature was recorded between 22.6 and 31.3 degrees Celsius in most of the cities in the state.
