House panel to probe Master Plan violations in Jammu, Srinagar

This was announced by Council Chairman Amrit Malhotra during Question Hour today.

The Chair's direction came even as Minister of State for Cooperatives Manohar Lal Sharma informed the House that two committees, one each for Srinagar and Jammu, had been constituted to identify violations of Master Plan, raising of illegal constructions, encroachment and violation of land use.

The reports of these committees were awaited, Sharma said.
