"The State Technical Education, Vocational and Industrial Training Minister G S Bali has accepted that the state government has failed to provide unemployment allowance to the youth," he claimed in a release here.
Showing his support for unemployed youths in a December 24 rally of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi here, Bali had asked the state government to allot some funds under the unemployment allowance.
Over the years, the Congress government has become synonymous to "false promises" and it has "misled people for its own benefit", Thakur alleged.
The MP claimed that the government had "completely failed" to disburse any allowances for the unemployed educated youths.
"In fact, Bali has put forth a request to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh to make unemployment allowance available as the Assembly polls are approaching," he said.
This proves that the Congress only cares about elections and their own interest, and public welfare is last on their priority list, Thakur alleged.
