As the Question Hour was in progress Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar intervened to inform the House of the death of Dr Prashant Sharma, son-in-law of Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma.
In a choked voice he paid tributes to 39-year-old Sharma recalling his relations with the family of Ram Bilas Sharma.
Khattar also referred to the death of a relative of another member.
Speaker Kanwar Pal joined the Chief Minister in paying tributes and asked the members to stand in silence for two minutes to pay tributes to the non-members.
Today's proceedings included the Question Hour and two non-official resolutions moved by Gian Chand Gupta and Zakir Hussain.
The Speaker then adjourned the house - 29 minutes after the commencement of the session today.
