Human Resource is a ctitical success factor for all organisations and companies are investing heavily on it for better management, CEO of Bandhan Bank Chandrasekhar Ghosh has said.
Speaking at an HR Conclave " People Management in a Disruptive era -- organised by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry yesterday, Ghosh said that despite the rapid progress of technology, human intervention still retains its importance.
"While technology and skill upgradation always remain the need of the hour, high touch can not be replaced by hi-tech. And hence, personal touch is always required along with technological progress," he said.
Narrating his own experience, Ghosh, also the president of BCCI, said "It is very important for the senior levels to be in constant touch with the front level staff in an organisation.
He felt companies across sectors are investing towards expansion of their HR wing to ensure that learning and development, talent acquisition, diversity and inclusion are managed well.
Elaborating on the 'disruptive' term, Chairman and Managing Director of National Aluminium Company Limited Dr Tapan Kumar Chand said, "Introduction of artificial intelligence can be a disruption among the human resource but it creates jobs in other areas which the HR professional should be aware of.
Principal Secretary, Department of school education, government of West Bengal, Dushyant Nariala said, "Technology will fill the gap between intention and capacity. HR people will then get more time to address real policy issues.
