HRD minister Prakash Javadekar today chaired a meeting of top ministry officials and heads of Boards and Councils associated with his ministry and reviewed steps to encourage cashless transactions.
"All Institutions have been asked to encourage & ensure cashless transactions are done through debit/credit cards, online
transfers,RTGS, cheques," Javadekar said in a tweet.
In another post he added that directions have already been given to all educational institutions to encourage and ensure cashless transactions.
Such drives should be carried out in schools, colleges, NCC and NSS, Modi had said, adding that the "youths are agents of change".
