Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar followed up his call in Kurukshetra last week to observe Sunday as 'no-criticism day' with his maiden 'Khushiyon Ki Baat' address in Jind today.

Addressing the people who had arrived here from all over the district to participate in Raahgiri revelry, he said happiness is a choice and they should choose it come what may.

Khattar asked people to exercise regularly, do yoga everyday, eat well and make a conscious choice to stay fit, positive and happy.

Disorders such as depression may also have genetic root but it can be contained through adaptive life choices, he said and urged people to celebrate even small things in life and miss no opportunity to be happy.

Earlier, he congratulated the youth of Jind for having a vibrant culture of youth clubs and directed the district administration to help young boys and girls in every village and wards to set up youth clubs and encourage them in community work and organise awareness activities.

The chief minister said such endeavours will help the youth in being socially responsible and develop leadership qualities.

In the morning, Khattar had breakfast with a group of students, most of them whom put up a good performance in the Class 10 and 12 board examinations.

He told the students that determination and hard work were the key to achieving success.
