The bag of the man, who was travelling from Nagaland to Bihar, was checked last night following suspicion and the cartridges were found in his posession, RPF Rangia officer-in-charge Biplab Mazumdar said today.
The seizure include 31 rounds of cartidges of .303 rifle, 22 rounds of cartridges of .38 pistol, a mobile phone, the man's driving licence issued in Dimapur from where he was travelling, his voter identity card and another i-card of Nagaland Auto Association, Majumdar said.
Investigations are on to find out whether the man had links with militant outfits or was a carrier of arms and ammunition, the RPF said.
