To improve the quality of advertisements issued by various government departments, the Information and Broadcasting ministry is considering holding a workshop where officials will get feedback on various ads issued earlier from a panel of experts.
Officials said that after receiving the comments and views of experts on the efficacy of these advertisements, the ministry is considering inviting feedback and suggestion from the public to improve the government's ad-delivery.
"After the workshop, where experts will provide tips, the advertisements issued earlier may be put out on the Internet and comments will be sought from the people with an aim to elicit their views as well," a senior official said.
The Modi government has been consistently making attempts to improve the communications by the government.
Earlier the ministry had held a special workshop for senior officials in various ministries and those in the Press Information Bureau (PIB) organised with focus on improving and streamlining government's communications outreach.
The ministry also held a workshop on Photography for effective communication and has taken steps to train officials in the use of social media for information dissemination, officials said.
They said for improving the communication flow of the government, a proposal to provide smart phone devices to officials responsible for dissemination of information is under consideration.
A senior official said keeping in mind the government's emphasis on social media, it has been felt that key officials like those in the Press Information Bureau (PIB) may be given smart phones for effective dissemination of information.
