Common, 42, has been a hip-hop star since the '90s and acted in a dozen of films but the fame he has got by starring in 'Selma' and recording its Oscar-winning original song 'Glory' with John Legend, is unparallelled, reported People magazine.
"A lot more people know who I am. It's rewarding because they come to me with love," Common said of his fans.
"They appreciate what I've done and the Oscar performance and the message I delivered with Selma, so I'm being known for the thing I want to be known for. That's a great thing," he said.
