IAC to hold protests, gherao houses of ministers from Jul 25

"IAC Mumbai will stage a dharna at Azad Maidan from July 25. Many volunteers will be fasting and some of them will be on an indefinite fast.

"Four out of the 15 tainted ministers are from Maharashtra and IAC volunteers will "gherao" their residences in Mumbai and hold dharnas outside their door steps to drive home the message," spokesperson of IAC Mumbai, Preeti Sharma Menon said.

The gherao programme of the ministers' residences will be as follows: Vilasrao Deshmukh (July 25), Praful Patel (July 26), Sushilkumar Shinde (July 27) and Sharad Pawar (July 28), Menon said.

Anna Hazare has sought an SIT enquiry against all the tainted MPs and ministers and a fast track court to settle the pending cases within a time frame, Menon said.

"If the demand is not met, there will be a nation-wide agitation from July 25 and Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and Gopal Rai will be going on an indefinite fast from July 25 to put pressure on the government, she said.
