"IAF Chief Browne is leading a composite delegation, comprising officers from the three services to the Republic of South Korea (ROK) where he is likely to discuss a wide range of bilateral issues on the ongoing defence cooperation between the two countries towards expanding the bilateral defence ties," an IAF release said here.
During the visit, he is scheduled to call on the South Korean Defence Minister Kim Kwan-Jin and would also be meeting the senior military leadership of that country including Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Gen Jung Seung-jo.
The IAF chief's visit to Korea was delayed by over a week in view of the Uttarakhand flood relief and rescue operations.
Over two years ago, Defence Minister A K Antony had also visited Seoul to strengthen defence ties with that country.
The two sides have been trying to expand their military hardware cooperation as South Korea had offered a basic trainer aircraft for IAF's requirement but its product was rejected in the tender stage by the force.
