Since its inception two weeks back, the programme has witnessed entries from over 2,000 participants, a significant portion of which are from international developers and start-ups, the Bank said in a release.

Axis Bank holds self-defence training camp to mark Women's Day * Axis Bank has organised a week-long self-defence training camp across the nation, starting today to mark International Women's Day onMarch 8.
It will help empower women employees, women customers and girl students of schools and colleges.
The bank has engaged local women police, army, certified martial art trainers and karate experts to train women and girls to safeguard themselves against miscreants and unforeseen situations, an Axis Bank press release issued here said.

Jakson Engineers use Klip Lock' mounting system * To overcome challenge of installing 400 kW Rooftop Solar power plant on metal roofing without piercing it, Jakson Engineers used innovative 'Klip Lock' mounting system on Yamuna Sports Complex, New Delhi.
The plant will be commissioned by January end. YSC will only pay for the electricity consumed from the solar plant, rest is taken care of by Jakson which includes capital investment and O&M for 25 years.

Ground breaking ceremony held for BHEL's 1x800MW project * The North Chennai Supercritical Thermal Power Station Stage III project, valued at Rs 2,759 crore, has conducted the ground breaking ceremony, which is expected to go on stream in 2019.
BHEL has bagged the contract valued at Rs 2,759 crore for the project to come up in Tiruvallur district near Chennai.
ABB signs MoU with IIT-M on microgrids
*ABB has signed an MoU with Indian Institute of Technology, Madras for technical cooperation to build microgrids.
The agreement also includes internship opportunities to post graduate students of IIT-M for the next three years.
IIT-M and ABB will jointly work to design, build and supply equipment for up to two microgrids in rural areas, the company said in a statement here.

* Non-banking financial services firm MCB Capital Markets and asset management company ZyFin Holdings today announced the launch of an exchange traded fund (ETF) to help international investors access the Indian sovereign bond market.
'MCB India Sovereign Bond ETF' would replicate the ZyFin India Sovereign Bond Liquid Index, which tracks the performance of the most liquid, fixed rate, Indian Rupee-denominated bond issued by the Government of India.
"The ETF would be listed on the local stock exchange of Mauritius and will invest in the most liquid sovereign bonds with a typical maturity between eight and 13 years," a statement by the companies said.
Viacom18 launches HD feed for three regional channels * Media and entertainment firm Viacom18 today said it has launched the HD feed for three of its regional general entertainment channels.
This will be the first time that a regional GEC will add a hi-definition channel to its bouquet, the company said in a statement.
The channels that would be offering an HD feed are Colors Kannada, Colors Marathi and Colors Bangla.

IIGJ, Welingkar tie up for grad program in jewellery design * Indian Institute of Gems and Jewellery (IIGJ), a project of the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), today collaborated with Welingkar Institute of Management to introduce three-year graduate program in jewellery design and manufacturing techniques.
The academic year 2016-17 will be the first year of this course and the admission process is already in progress.
