President of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), Shyam Agrawal, said that the syllabus of the executive and professional courses have been revised.
The obsolete contents were removed and newand updated contents, including those related to the GST, have been introduced, he said.
Agrawal was in the city for the '17th National Award for Excellence in Corporate Governance' organised by the institute.
"The executive programme will have the revised syllabus from December 2018 while the new syllabus for the professional course will be in place from June 2019," the ICSI official told reporters.
The ICSI president said that due to economic growth, the demand for company secretaries is poised to increase.
