WIPRO Chairman Azim Premzi handed the awards, consisting of a plaque and cash prize of Rs 15 lakh, to Tanmay Kasliwal and Jahnvi Jethanandani, both second year PGP students, and faculty mentor Prof Sanjeeb Kakoty, the official said.
IIM Shillong had in the past won the Wipro Earthian prize twice under the mentorship of Prof Kakoty, the official said.
Kakoty himself was also conferred the coveted T N Khoshoo award for sustainability education instituted by the Ashoka Trust for Research in Ecology and the Environment.
