A team of CRPF personnel today seized a huge consignment of illegal Indian Made Foreign Liquor from a truck in upper Assam's Sibsagar district.
Officials said the CRPF team seized the liquor which was being carried in around 800 crates at Namtola in Charaedeo sub-division near Assam-Nagaland border.
The truck was on way from Karbi Anglong district and the liquor was meant for distribution in Sonari, they said.
The cost of the seized goods is estimated at around Rs eight lakh. The liquor crates were later handed over to the Excise department.
