He said improving the working conditions of migrant workers from Nepal is high on its agenda, a statement issued by the organisation here said.
Uramoto, who concluded his three-day visit to Nepal yesterday, highlighted the key initiatives taken by the organisation in this regard.
He said Nepal should include labour migration on the agenda for South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) summit being held in the country in November.
During the meeting with Koirala, he discussed the rising number of fatal accidents involving Nepalese migrant workers.
He also discussed possible ILO intervention in promoting safe migration, the opportunities presented by globalisation, and the role of SAARC and the ASEAN member states.
He conveyed his best wishes for a successful transition of Nepal into a stable, peaceful, democratic and prosperous nation.
