For Ayushmann Khurrana it is not about signing back-to-back movies but exploring different options in Bollywood, which is why the actor recently assisted director Shoojit Sircar on "Madras Cafe" and is now releasing his new single.
The 28-year-old actor, who made a successful debut with Sircar's "Vicky Donor" says though acting is his passion, he is equally keen to learn other aspects of filmmaking.
"I am enjoying the whole process of acting. I am trying to explore myself as an artiste. I sing, I assisted Shoojit sir on 'Madras Cafe'... I am in no mad rush to do just movies. I am lucky to be getting so many opportunities and I don't want to miss any," Ayushmann told PTI in an interview.
With no movies to release this year, the actor is excited to bring his new single 'O Heeriye'.
The track is again a Punjabi soft rock similar to Ayushmann's previous hits 'Paani Da Rang' and 'Saadi Gali'.
"I had a gap till my next movie releases so I decided to do a song. My first two songs became quite popular so I always knew I would sing again. It is a Punjabi soft rock. I have composed it with my childhood buddies," he said.
While he enjoys singing, Ayushmann believes acting comes more naturally to him and he will never quit it for a full-time career in playback singing.
"I prefer acting to singing because I feel that it comes more naturally to me. As an actor you have no set of rules but as a singer you have to be very disciplined," he said.
