"As an important emerging economy within APAC region, India's business opportunity in automotive and construction is huge for us. Add to that the flourishing media, entertainment and creative industries," Autodesk India and SAARC Managing Director Pradeep Nair told PTI.
Autodesk's APAC revenue in November 2013-January 2014 quarter was USD 150 million and emerging economies revenue was USD 88 million, up 5 per cent year-on-year.

The Nasdaq-listed firm is launching a new set of solutions -- Autodesk 2015 Design Suites -- integrated with cloud services to help users work better and faster. It is also offering a subscription model, which will make it more afforable for users.
"The solutions have a new interface and enhanced productivity tools that enable customers to experience a new standard in design and documentation. With Autodesk Subscription, customers will find it more convenient and flexible to access the tools they need, when they need them, to help grow their business," he said.
According to reports, the Computer Aided Design (CAD) software market in the APAC region is expected to grow at a CAGR of close to 11 per cent between 2012 and 2016.
One of the key factors contributing to this market growth is the increasing need to develop superior-quality products. The CAD market has also been witnessing the integration of CAD with enterprise solutions.
