Prime Minister Narendra Modi also sought blessing of the religious leader.
Among other things, the Jain sect leader suggested Modi that the country should be called only 'Bharat' instead of having the alternative official name of India.
"Vidyasagar and Modi spent around 10 minutes together. He was accompanied by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Madhya Pradesh Governor O P Kohli and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan," Jain Digamber community's local spokesman Ravindra Jain told PTI.
Besides, Vidyasagar also suggested that orders of the courts should be delivered in regional languages, Jain said.
The spiritual leader also expressed concern about students who take loans for education but do not get jobs later, Jain said.
Two years ago, there was a series of talks between RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Vidyasagar at Ramtek near Nagpur. Two months ago, BJP president Amit Shah had met Vidyasagar in Damoh district.
