The exhibition at Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC) was inaugurated yesterday by Camelia Sobhi of the Egyptian Ministry of Culture and Indian Ambassador to Egypt Navdeep Suri.
The exhibition includes caricatures of prominent Indian figures, including Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, drawn by Ahmed Toghan, a pioneering artist and the President of the Egyptian Caricature Society (ECS).
The ECS also held an exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi on October 2 to mark the International Day of Non-Violence and the 144th Birth Anniversary of the great leader.
