IndiGo now operates 883 daily flights to 42 destinations, including five international ones, with a fleet of 129 planes.
"It gives us pleasure to add Madurai as part of our growing network which will only help us serve the growing demand from the southern region," IndiGo president Aditya Ghosh said in a release.
The Gurgaon-based airline also plans to connect Madurai with Hyderabad with a daily flight from March 26.
