The delegation includes five district magistrates bordering southern part of Tripura, who were received by the DM of Sepahijal district Dr Prashant Kumar Goyal.
"The meeting is important in terms of improving the relation at the grassroots level and issues like smuggling, trans-border crime, narcotics and other important issues will be discussed," Goyal said.
Bangladesh team leader Khanderkar said, "We work at the district level and face various border-related issues and such meetings will help us to address them through dialogues."
Habul Biswas, General Secretary of Exporters & Importers Association, Agartala said very few trucks carrying goods from Bangladesh had entered Indian territory since Monday last for the same reason.
