Earlier, she had been admitted to the hospital on October 2 after she collapsed in the prison, but was discharged a couple of days later.
Hospital Dean Dr T P Lahane said Indrani was brought to the hospital from Byculla women's prison this afternoon.
He, however, declined to comment on reports quoting the jail sources that Indrani was suffering from suspected dengue.
Earlier in the day, the prison authorities informed a magistrate's court here that Indrani was suspected to have dengue.
Magistrate R V Adone had directed the prison authorities to produce Indrani in view of the application made by CBI seeking her voice samples.
Indrani, her former husband Sanjeev Khanna and her driver Shyamvar Rai are in judicial custody. The three are accused of killing her 24-year-old daughter Sheena and disposing of the body in a forest in April 2012.
On October 2, Indrani was taken to J J Hospital from Byculla womens' prison in an unconscious state, fuelling speculation that she had overdosed on anti-depressant drugs.
The CBI is currently probing the Sheena Bora murder case.
