Info Edge Jan-Mar profit dips 30.4pc to Rs 57.18 cr

Info Edge, which owns online job portal naukri.Com, today reported 30.4 per cent decline in standalone net profit at Rs 57.18 crore for the January-March quarter over the same period of last year.
The firm had posted a net profit of Rs 82.18 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a BSE filing.
However, total income rose by 12.2 per cent to Rs 224.51 crore in the said quarter from Rs 200.04 crore in the year-ago period.
For the year, the company posted a consolidated net loss of Rs 251.79 crore as compared to net profit of Rs 24.06 crore in FY2014-15.
Total income increased 26.3 per cent to Rs 1,045.26 crore for the year ended March 31, 2016 from Rs 827.13 crore in the previous year.
The Board has not recommended any amount as final dividend for the year ended March 31, 2016.
"Accordingly, 2 (two) Interim Dividends paid during the Financial Year aggregating to Rs 3 per share are considered as the total dividend for the above said Financial Year," the filing said.
"99acres traffic share has been consistently above 40 per cent for the past few months, a clear sign of the consolidation of our leadership in the real estate portal space. Our high teens growth in revenue across all our businesses has put us in a position of strategic advantage," Info Edge CFO Chintan Thakkar said in a statement.
During the quarter, recruitment solutions grew by about 19.1 per cent, while the real estate vertical grew by 4.8 per cent over the corresponding quarter in FY 2014-15.
During the year ended March 31, 2016, recruitment solutions grew by 19.4 per cent, while the real estate vertical grew by 10.2 per cent over the previous year, it said.
