Maharashtra's Minister for Finance, Planning and Forests Sudhir Mungantiwar released the calender on Wednesday during a programme at a school here.
On the occasion, Mungantiwar, who is also the district's guardian minister, assured all cooperation of his department towards conserving the rich natural heritage of Chandrapur, which is famous for its forests, wildlife, caves and historical monuments of the Gond dynasty.
He said the state government would soon release the revised addition of Chandrapur Gazetteer, that throws light on the past glory and how the district evolved to the present.
On the occasion, Chief Conservator of Forests (Chandrapur Division) Sanjay Thakre said the calendar highlighted the rich flora and fauna found in the district.
The INTACH calendar has pictures clicked by local photographers of Chandrapur's forests, tigers, herbivores, endangered bird Great Indian Bastard, natural caves, water bodies and the signature spider.
