Himachal Pradesh government today allowed the owners of mines having area below five hectares and closed due to non-receipt of environment clearance to continue mining activities till July 12.
These mine owners, however, would have to obtain environmental clearances from competent authorities by July 12, 2015.
These decisions were taken in a meeting of industries department presided over by Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri here today.
The decision is expected to benefit owners of about 100 crusher owners in the state and also provide succour to the consumers as they would get various construction materials at fair prices.
