IPL fever hits UAE; tickets for opening games sold out

With the opening match of IPL only a day away, the excitement among sports enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates has reached fever pitch with the first four games of the season, as well as the double header here on 25 April, already being sold out.
There are, however, still plenty of tickets available for the weekday games.
"With eight teams showcasing their skills in the IPL, cricket-lovers in the UAE are spoilt for choice. Fans are encouraged to make their way to the venues at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, with their colleagues and friends, and witness some thrilling cricket," BCCI secretary Sanjay Patel said in a release.
Tickets can be purchased at the various stadia.
Dubai International Stadium's box office at Dubai Sports City, Sharjah Cricket Stadium's box office at the stadium and Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
On non-match days, tickets will be available from 10:00 am (local time) from the Abu Dhabi Cricket Club offices, situated at the Stadium. On match days, tickets will be available at the box office located just outside the Zayed Cricket Stadium.
Lulu Hypermarkets outlets where tickets are available, are: Dubai -- Al Barsha, Al Qusais, Al Karama, Arabian Centre, Sharjah -- Al Wahda, Al Nahda, Mai Saloon, Abu Dhabi -- Al Wahda Mall, Khalidiya Mall, Mushrif Mall, Madinat Zayed, Capital Mall, Al Raha Mall, Mazyad Centre.
