The special court ACB-Ajmer rejected his bail application.
The 2009-batch IPS officer was arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) when he was fleeing to his hometown Bharatpur to evade arrest on June 21.
He was allegedly threatening an agent of a multi-level marketing company to implicate him in a fraud case and demanded a bribe of Rs two lakh through an Assistant Sub Inspector, Prem Singh, posted in Ramganj police station in Ajmer.
After verification of the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the ASI when taking the bribe amount of Rs one lakh on June 21.
On receiving information of the ASI's trap, he immediately left Ajmer, where he was posted as Assistant SP, in a car but he was nabbed at Kanota on Jaipur-Agra National Highway in Jaipur district on the same day.
Both the suspended ASP and ASI are under judicial custody. The 34-year-old IPS officer is lodged in Jaipur central jail, while the ASI is in Ajmer jail.
