As per findings of a committee constituted by A K Mahapatra, Director AIIMS Bhubaneswar holding additional charge of AIIMS Patna, has found that some faculty members do not meet the requisite educational qualifications and experience.
AIIMS-Patna was among six such institutions set up in 2012 under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) for correcting regional imbalances in the availability of affordable healthcare.
The committee, constituted on September 5 this year, looked into the documents and records submitted by the faculty in the light of advertisement issued by Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, sources in AIIMS Patna said.
But, he said he was not aware of its findings.
The committee reported that qualification record of two faculty members needed to be reviewed by experts.
In one case, age of one faculty member has been found above 50 years fixed by the advertisement, the sources said.
The committee underlined need for further verification of teaching/research experience of four faculty members as complete detail relating to experience was lacking in their files, they said.
The committee findings have been sent to Union Health and Family Welfare ministry for further action, the sources said.
