ISB placement up 77 pc this year; global giants make beeline

Indian School of Business (ISB), which has campuses at Hyderabad and Mohali, today said it has seen 77 per cent increase in the placement offers this year.
Top global consulting firms like Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, McKinsey & Co and ZS Associates continued to recurit in large numbers from the leading management institute, an ISB statement said here.
About 21 per cent of the class of the 2015 will be joining consultancy firms.
"Over the last seven years, McKinsey alone has recruited over 100 consultants from ISB. Firms like Deloitte recurit 30 to 40 students every year for global consulting roles," M Padmanabhan, Director, Career Advancement Service, ISB said.

High technology companies such has Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft, IT product and solutions providers like Cognizant, Infosys and Wipro and e-commerce players like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal also recruited in large number and accounted for 38 per cent of the offers, it said.
With a class size of 760 students, the Post Graduate Programme in Management at ISB offers arguably the largest school of top-notch experienced talent in Asia, the statement added.
