The Indian Union Muslim league's national council and political affairs committee would meet in Chennai on January 24 and 25 to chalk out its strategy for the Lok Sabha elections due early next year.
This was stated by IUML national Secretary E T Mohammed Basheer after a leadership meeting of the party here.
IUML President E Ahamed, Secretary Abdusamad Samadani, General Secretary Khader Moideen, Kerala State unit General Secretary K P A Majeed attended the meeting besides himself, Basheer told reporters here.
He dismissed as baseless allegations of misappropriation of the relief fund collected by the party for the Muzaffarnagar riot victims.
The fund mobilisation was launched in October this year and the last date was fixed on December 31. "So far we have received Rs 35 lakh," he said.
Moideen said IUML would continue its alliance with the DMK in Tamil Nadu for the Lok Sabha elections.
