J&K Governor, CM greet people on Navratra

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today greeted people on the occasion of Navratra and Navreh, the Kashmiri new year that begins tomorrow.
In his message, Vohra prayed for well-being and prosperity of the people and hope the auspicious period will be harbinger of harmony, amity, peace, and progress in the state.
The festival of Navratra holds a special significance for the devotees visiting the cave shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi, he noted.
The Governor also wished people on the eve of Navreh, which marks the beginning of Kashmiri New Year.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, in his message, highlighted state's rich tradition of celebrating the holy occasions in amity and brotherhood and called for strengthening this ethos.
Hoping joy and prosperity for all, Omar prayed for peace and all-round development of the state and the country.
