"We urge upon the Chief Minister, finance minister, chief secretary and principal secretary finance to make arrangements for clearing outstanding dues of employees and pensioners pending in treasuries for months together," said NMC president Subash Shastri, while addressing party activists here.
It was surprising that payment of bills and others dues of employees and pensioners are not being paid due to paucity of funds in the treasuries, he said.
This situation speaks volumes about non-functioning of departments concerned, Shastri said, and hoped that the state government will "realise the difficulties of salaried people and pensioners and take necessary steps to redress their difficulties at the earliest".
