The Jammu and Kashmir government will raise with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh the issue of land compensation under the Pradham Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna (PMGSY), state Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather said today.
"In addition to other issues of prime public importance, the matter regarding speedy release of land compensation under PMGSY in various parts of the state will be taken up with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during his forthcoming visit to the state," Rather said at the District Development Board meeting at Anantnag.
The minister said enhancement of allocations under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY) for setting up of income generating units in sheep, animal husbandry and floriculture sectors would also be taken up with the Prime Minister.
Rather reviewed in details the physical and financial achievements of the last year's plan outlay and also discussed targets for the current financial year at the board meeting.
After thorough discussions, the Board approved current year's plan outlay for the Anantnag district to the tune of Rs 110.80 crore which includes Rs 75.37 crore as capital component and Rs 35.43 crore as revenue component.
The meeting was informed that 97 per cent of the previous year's plan outlay, which was almost the same as this year, has been expended on various schemes.
