As soon as the House met this morning, Chairman Anayat Ali said he condemned the killing of the woman Mamata Devi (45) in the incident.
The Chairman asked the government to provide specialized treatment to the injured and also inform the House of the victims' condition.
Later, Ali informed the House that an injured woman had undergone an operation, while another surgery would be performed on her soon. He also said the government has assured of providing the best treatment to the injured.
Akhtar said last evening police station, Kud, had received information about movement of suspects.
A joint team of CRPF and police started searching vehicles at Karnal Nallah and an SRTC bus bearing registration number JK02Y 0444 travelling from Srinagar to Jammu was stopped for checking.
The minister said when passengers were asked to get down for checking, a person started firing on the security forces, resulting in bullet injuries to three persons.
Akhtar said Mamata succumbed to her injuries on the way to a hospital, while Ruby has been shifted to military hospital Udhampur and Singh is admitted in Udhampur hospital.
The security forces retaliated, killing the militant, the minister said, adding he has been identified as Tanveer Sultan, a resident of Ibrahim Colony in Bemina here.
An AK 47 rifle, a pistol and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant, Akhtar said.
Agriculture Minister Ghulam Nabi Lone read out a similar statement in the Lower house where PDP MLA Noor Mohammad Sheikh and several BJP MLAs demanded the government make a statement on the incident.
