The 49-year-old author promised her fans that there will be lot of surprises coming up for them on the Pottermore website during the Christmas eve and the new one has arrived, reported E! Online.
The riddle reads, "With vampires and authors and a gatecrashing Malfoy. Slughorn's Christmas party was one for almost all to enjoy. Much to the surprise of fans, friends and the rest. Which loony Ravenclaw does Harry bring as a guest?"
The website also had a note along with the riddle which says, "Professor Slughorn decorates his office in a riot of colour for his Christmas party. Dust off your dress robes, answer our rhyming riddle and join in the festive Hogwarts spirit in today's surprise.
The 'Harry Potter' series author also mentioned that whoever solved the riddle will be able to move on to the next step in the holiday-themed scavenger hunt.
This Christmas celebration by Rowling was started on Pottermore website on December 12 and more surprises are in store for the fans till December 23.
