In response today to a question, Minister of State for Home Affairs Haribhai Parthibhai Chaudhary provided data on terror activities in J-K till November 22 of 2014 and 2015, besides other statistics.
Thus, while 185 terror incidents took place in the state between January 1-November 22, 2014, killing 22 civilians and 31 security personnel besides 91 terrorists, in 2015, during the same period, 186 terror incidents were reported in which 16 civilians and 38 security personnel were killed, besides 91 terrorists.
In 2012, 220 incidents were reported in the state that left 15 civilians and 15 security personnel dead besides 72 terrorists while, in 2013, 170 terror incidents resulted in the death of 15 civilians, 53 security personnel and 67 terrorists.
