Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said students from neighbouring Bihar are welcome to pursue education in Jharkhand, known as an 'education hub' even during undivided Bihar.
"For any state, development and prosperity are the yardsticks for its intellectual asset. For this, educational infrastructure, institutions and transparency are required. Even during undivided Bihar, Jharkhand was known as the education hub, and we have taken forward that tradition," Das said.
Saying these were the reasons the Centre had given approval for opening national and international level educational institutions, Das invited the youth of Bihar to take quality, standard and credible education in Jharkhand.
Listing out institutions like Dhanbad's ISM now becoming an IIT, Central University, IIM, Law University, Rakhya Shakti Vidyalaya, RIT, BIT, XLRI, XISS, dental colleges, three medical colleges and several engineering colleges where quality education is given, Das said schools in the state also met national parameters.
Stating once Bihar was known for education, Das alleged that due to politics and mafia, nobody had faith in education system there and with education scam coming now, he said the youth of Bihar could take quality, standard and credible education in Jharkhand and save their career and credibility.
Referring to cheating in examination and the topper scam, he said Netarhat school, Sainik school and Navodaya School in Jharkhand give a better alternative for students from Bihar.
